Biografie Charles Nesbit & Adrienne Kaufman Nesbit
Charles Nesbit grew up in Richmond, Virginia. He received a B.A. in English Literature from Yale University and an M.F.A. in Photography from the Yale School of Art. After graduation, he moved to New York City where his photography was represented by Friedus Gallery. With marriage and children, he shifted to commercial work. He has a lengthy roster of high-profile corporate clients in his portfolio, along with art photography known for its clear, simple, and defined still life imagery captured from a unique perspective. Charles Nesbit’s work is held by a number of private collectors.
Adrienne Kaufman Nesbit was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and lives in New York City with her husband, Charles. She is the proud mother of two sons. Adrienne is the principal of Avy Kaufman Casting. She is honored to have worked with Ang Lee, Robert Redford, Steven Spielberg, Jodie Foster, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Wong Kar-wai, and Lars von Trier—among other respected directors. She was casting director of acclaimed films such as Life of Pi, Lincoln, Prometheus, Keep the Lights On, Shame, Brokeback Mountain, Capote, The Sixth Sense, Dancer in the Dark, and American Gangster. Adrienne was honored in 2005 as the Hollywood Casting Director of the Year. She was awarded an Emmy in 2008 for her work on the pilot of Showtime’s Damages. She is featured in Helena Lumme’s book, Great Women of Film.
